After making an appearance at the recent Nuremburg International Toy Fair, The Spyder SCT-2 has finally made it’s official appearance. Based on the Spyder SRX-2 buggy, the truck features a longer chassis, redesigned shock towers, long stroke and big bore shocks, and a rear mounted motor configuration.
One interesting feature is the chassis side bumpers, common on most short course trucks. However Serpent have provided lexan inserts for them to stop the ingress of dirt, and to try and counter the parachute effect most SCT’s suffer from. An interesting solution that will be interesting to see in practice and if it has any effect.
